Djabour Mustapha

Professor DJABOUR Mustapha was born in Algeria, he obtained his Baccalaureate in 1986 and joined the medical faculty of Algiers where he obtained the degree of doctor of medicine in 1992; then the diploma of specialized medical studies (DEMS) in Ophthalmology in 1998. In 2002, he was Major in the recruitment competition for hospital-university assistant, and in 2011, he obtained the Doctorate in Medical Sciences diploma. In 2014, he rose to the rank of hospital-university lecturer, then to the rank of professor in medical sciences in the specialty of ophthalmology, in 2019. Very early in his career, he became interested in retino-vitreal diseases to which, he devotes the majority of his activity, particularly in the surgical field. In order to complete his training in vitreo-retinal surgery, he completed advanced training courses in France and Germany. From 2013 to 2016, he became a member of the board of the Algerian Society of Ophthalmology (SAO), in the position of treasurer and a member of the board of the Algerian Society Fighting against Blindness (AALC) as secretary general. From 2017 to 2022, he became Vice-President of the Algerian Society of Ophthalmology, then President of the AALC from 2019 to 2023. In 2022, he was elected as Secretary General of the AALC, then President of the Algerian Society of Ophthalmology (SAO).
