Professional Profile

Dr. Ana Monés graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona and completed her specialization in Ophthalmology via the MIR program at Bellvitge University Hospital. Throughout her professional career, she has combined clinical practice with academic activity, serving as a Resident Tutor and Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona at the Campus Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol. She is currently the Coordinator of Ophthalmology Emergencies at the same hospital.

She combines her public healthcare activity at Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital, where she has worked as a Pediatric Ophthalmologist for the past 16 years, with private practice at Centro de Oftalmología Barraquer, where she has been part of the Pediatric Ophthalmology team for the last 3 years.

Dr. Monés is the author and co-author of multiple scientific publications and technical documents, and she has presented numerous papers at national and international conferences, receiving several awards.
