A pioneer cornea and refractive consultant. Completed her subspeciality training in cornea and refractive surgery from the United Kingdom in 2011. She holds a diploma in leadership from the European Society of Ophthalmology (2017). Awarded the Order of Military Merit by His Majesty King Abdullah II for her innovative contributions to ophthalmology in Jordan in June 2019.
A fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and an examiner for the FRCS exam.
She is a speaker and lecturer at many national and international conferences and an active publisher and researcher in the field of ophthalmology.
She is a member of the Jordanian, American, and European Ophthalmological Societies.
Secretary of Communication for the Middle East and Africa Council of Ophthalmology for Cataract and Refractive Surgery (MEACRS).
She is a TEDx speaker and listed on the She Is Arab platform as an influential speaker.
Founder and lead for Women in Ophthalmology Arabia (WIO Arabia). She is also a writer and has recently published her first book.
